Texas Health Steps Online Provider Education Health Steps CE is provided at no charge by the Texas Department of Health Servics and consists of self-paced, web-based training modules. Each module is divided into sections, with an evaluation component following each section. An online certificate of completion will be issued after a trainee successfully completes an entire module. These modules are also available in PowerPoint® versions for use in training conducted in classroom settings and as printed collateral materials.
Current CE classifications include Cultural Competence, Immunization and Pharmacy.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission has a series of computer-based training opportunities for pharmacies to educate staff about Medicaid pharmacy benefits (particularly for children under 21) and how to get reimbursed.
